III. Ignition Control System Adjustment

The ignition control system has been fully calibrated at the engine factory. Users shall not make arbitrary adjustments during operation. If troubleshooting and adjustment are required, the work must be performed by specially‑trained personnel to avoid compromising adjustment accuracy. For inspection and adjustment, connect the ignition controller to a PC or a dedicated handheld programmer.

Refer to the controller wiring diagram. After confirming correct wiring, perform inspection and adjustment in accordance with the following methods and steps.

1. IC‑500 Ignition System Functional Check

(1) Trigger signal check

(2) Input signal fault identification

(3) Shutdown

(4) Manual ignition energy adjustment

(5) Hour meter

2. Safety Protection

(1) Overspeed shutdown

(2) Startup within allowable range

(3) Fault output via LED

(4) Sensor fault detection

(5) Internal fault check with flash code display

3. Brief Operation Instructions for IC‑500

(1) Main Display Screen

(2) Main Programming Menu

Press SHIFT+ESC on the main display screen to enter the main programming menu.

Stop the unit and enter the password to access main programming. The password equals the ignition system operating hour reading plus 10.

Refer to the programming brief after entry.

(3) Secondary Programming Menu

Press the capital‑letter shortcut keys on the main display screen to call up corresponding displays. These functions are available while the unit is running.
